Ravens Three & Co.

     Shawna Kennedy first picked up the violin when she was 8 years old. She studied through the Putnam City School system with a primary focus on the Classical technique and style. Throughout her childhood, she performed with several youth honors orchestras and was a member of the West Island Quartet. After high school, Shawna joined a local bluegrass band where she found a new love for “fiddle” music. She played everywhere she could pick up techniques for the style – sessions, festivals, local bars and even busking on street corners. Eventually, she was introduced to Celtic music after attending an open mic session at a local OKC Irish Pub. She started playing at Irish open mic sessions at the pub. Fate soon intervened and led her to meet her fellow Ravens.
